OIL PAINTING COURSE WITH ARTIST GAIL DESCOEURS

My art classes are dedicated to everyone and are devoted to basic principles, techniques and procedures. You will learn to see the way an artist sees, and this kind of seeing can marvelously enrich your life because you will be seeing better and seeing more.

Understanding Color/Color Mixing Exercises/Seeing Color as Tone/Brush Techniques;
Lesson on color mixing will help you see colors with more understanding and enable you to mix and apply colors with more satisfaction and success.

Composition/Balance & Unity/Things to Avoid/Focal Point/Value;
Composition is the bedrock on which a picture succeeds or fails.

• Still Life Studies.

• Landscapes

• Experiments with different painting techniques.

• Working from photographs (selecting and editing).

• How to critique your own paintings.
